Privacy Policy

CalculHub ("the site", "we") is an independent online tool operated from Quebec, Canada under the registered business name CalculHub. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as modernized by Law 25) and applicable Canadian privacy law.
The short version: CalculHub is designed to collect as little as possible. Our calculators run in your browser, we do not require accounts, and we do not sell or share your personal information.
Information we collect
- Calculator inputs: the numbers you enter (e.g. a property price) are processed in your browser to display your result. We do not store them on our servers or associate them with you.
- Aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics: we use a cookieless analytics tool (Cloudflare Web Analytics / Plausible) that measures overall traffic — such as page views, referring sites, and general country/region — without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may temporarily process technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site, as is standard for any website.
- Messages you send us: if you email us, we receive the information you choose to provide.
Why we collect it
Solely to operate, secure, and improve the site and to respond to messages you send. We do not use your information for advertising profiling, and we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Cookies
At launch, CalculHub uses no non-essential cookies and no advertising cookies. If this changes in the future (for example if advertising is introduced), we will update this policy and request your consent as required.
Technical note: if you use the light/dark theme switch, your choice is kept locally in your browser (local storage). It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted to us, and it disappears if you clear your browser data.
Third-party services
We rely on service providers to run the site, including a hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) and a privacy-friendly analytics provider. These providers process limited technical data on our behalf. We do not use advertising networks at this time.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete or anonymize it. Cookieless analytics data is aggregate and not tied to you.
Your rights (Law 25)
Subject to legal limits, you may: access the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct it; withdraw consent; request deletion or de-indexing; and request portability of information you provided. To exercise these rights, contact our privacy officer below. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

Privacy incidents
If a confidentiality incident occurs that poses a risk of serious injury, we will take reasonable measures to reduce the risk and will notify affected individuals and the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) as required by law.

We may update this policy; the "effective date" above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
